Hey,
my name is Melvin. This is a picture of me guarding the backyard
through the window. Mom doesn't know, but a lot goes on back there. The
second picture she made me pose for - ugh! I am named after my grandfather who
I never met, but I am told I am a lot like him in that I am very outgoing and
"love the ladies" (what does that mean)? I was adopted from a shelter and I
am my mom's first boy cat. She is nuts about me. She says that my parents
had to give me up because they were poor sharecroppers, but they knew I would
be adopted quickly as I such a "good boy." I think she made up this story,
although I was adopted three days after I got to the shelter. I have a older
sister Sweetpea, but she is not nearly as affectionate or "sweet" as I am.
Every day I clean her, and wait for her to return the affection, but she just
whaps me?! I don't understand her. I also like bottle caps, especially Dr.
Pepper caps, and will push them down the stairs at 3 a.m. in the morning.
I also like to show people around the house, into every room, although Mom
says I should quit going into the bathroom with them - but they might need me!
I talk through the whole tour. I am so excited about going from orphan to
internet star!
