It
took me a while to finally settle down on a name for these two troublemakers.
When I made my decision I thought that they would always live up to it - that
they would always make me laugh and so far they have.
I was given these two littermates from a good friend of mine who took in a stray
and didn't know she was pregnant. There were eight kittens in the litter and she
said that these two were constantly together and bullied the rest of the
kittens. I always wanted to have two cats grow up with one another so they
wouldn't be lonely and as soon as they were ready to leave their mother, Abbott
and Costello came home with me.
Breaking statues, chewing through wires and Christmas tree lights, slamming
doors shut at all hours of the night, eating anything and everything that is
left out and incessant meowing when they need attention are just a few of their
bad habits. But for all the trouble they cause, they make up for it by looking
adorable and being very affectionate and personable to everyone that visits
(including the maintenance man who can't even fix things because Costello is too
busy trying to head butt his way in for some attention). They sure keep me
laughing!
