Malibu
is a female odd-eyed brown ticked tabby with white. We acquired Malibu
on a typical hot July day in California. My brother was working outside when
he spotted something in the wheel housing of our Chevy Malibu. Thinking it was
a piece of garbage, he approached the car to remove it, only to find that the
"piece of garbage" moved! Only six weeks old, afraid of humans, starving and
terrified, Malibu wedged herself very tightly in the car. It took us over one
hour to free her. When she got loose, she ran up to our door and she promptly
mauled me when I picked her up. But it didn't take her long to warm up to our
family and start to trust people. I think she was just terrified that day.
She has made a complete turnaround from when we found her. She is beloved
member of our family and I've entered her in cat shows as a Household Pet and
she has done extremely well. She is excellent "big sister" to Eve, a cat we
found only months after Malibu. She is laid back and incredibly easy to live
with. Almost every person that has met her has remarked on her uniqueness. I
am truly a lucky person to have found her.
