Let
me introduce you to my kitten, Scamp. She has been a real joy since the
day I got her. She follows me into every room I go to, including the
bathroom. (She even uses her litterbox when I use mine!)
She is just a little scamp when it comes to satisfying her curiosity. She
thinks the water dish on my art table is her personal drinking dish. She
won't drink the water in her food tray, but scatters all the papers on my art
table onto the floor when she wants a drink. I'm a calligrapher and use "old
fashioned" dip pens and ink. It's been difficult to teach her that she can't
play with my pen tip as it moves across the page. Then, when I go to my
laptop computer, she makes herself at home wherever she can fit. Watching her
chasing the black mouse pointer across my computer screen brought tears to my
eyes. When she feels I've worked long enough at my computer, she simply comes
up and sits down on my keyboard. She did check out the mouse, but lost
interest when she found out she couldn't chase it.
At the end of the day, when I finally sit down to watch TV, she comes and
sits on my chest right under my chin, and we spend a couple of hours in
complete contentment with each other. I couldn't ask for a more loving,
attentive companion. God knew what He was doing when he created my kitty.
