or alarm-clock-in-fur? No one knows for sure. Nut-Meg Davis is a
three-year old automatic alarm clock. She's got a marmalade nose and white
socks. Don't call her calico; this orange-and-gray-tabby-on-white insists
that her people get out of bed every morning precisely at 5:30 am. Waking
up won't do; they must be up and out of bed. The better to serve her, of
course. Nut-Meg lives in Dallas, Texas, and does not believe weekend are
any exception.
On thing's for certain about this hunter-killer: Mice and birds beware!
And Jack Russell Terriers beware, too. And yes, as a matter of fact, the
world does revolve around Nut-Meg. She has at least convinced us of this!
