This
is Pumpkin. She was the runt of her litter, though you would never
know that now. My son and I were living with my mother and her two dogs and
one cat. When my mother would open her door in the morning to let the dogs
out in the backyard, Pumpkin would race with the dogs through the house to
the back door every time.
My son and I have since moved to a larger house in the country with my new
wife. Pumpkin is the queen of the house. It is obvious she likes being the
only animal here. Her duties include waking just before my alarm. She
sleeps all day until my son comes home from school. She always lets us know
when it is bedtime too! Her favorite places to lay are on my computer
monitor or in front of the roaring fireplace whenever it is lit.
