Ethel
was been found in a mink trap when she was just a kitten. Upon finding
her, she was blowing and hissing, and once we brought her home she would
hide behind the fridge for weeks. After she got used to her new family, she
started walking comfortably around the house, but always still looking a bit
cautious. Then she realized that her family just wanted the best for her and
fed her. She not only started to behave as the queen of the house, but when
she went out she also started to behave as the queen of the farm.
In the spring and in the summer she likes to hunt and lay down in the
plants. In the winter she likes to sleep and get a good rub on her belly.
She is a good hunter, always waiting to get congratulated whenever she finds
something. She doesn't like other cats so she is always hesitant towards
newcomers. She can get very cranky if you approach her in the wrong way or
if you leave her outside too long when she wants to come in, if that happens
she might ignore you for days. She loves Christmas, as she is always very
enthusiastic to open her gift. She also loves receiving a lot of attention.
She is a great cat and more important she is definitely a great friend. She
always manages to put a smile on our faces.
