Good
Boy showed up on my doorstep one evening when he was about six months
old. It broke my heart to see him in the yard, so frightened that he was
visibly shaking in fear as he walked first one direction, then another
unsure of where to go. When I called to him, he immediately ran to me and
placed his front paws with his extra toes on my knee. Certain that someone
would be looking for a cat this cute, I brought him in the house.
I was relieved when no one claimed him. I quickly became attached to the
little guy and was spoiling him rotten from the beginning. Within a week,
he was dining on fancy kitty chow and playing with an army of fake mouse
toys. After a year and a half with me, Good Boy is doing well. His favorite
sleeping spots include the bathroom sink, the laundry basket and the top of
the book shelf.
In return for my utter devotion Good Boy greets me at the door when I come
home from work and keeps me safe from any house fly that dares enter the
room. I didn't know I wanted a cat when he found me, but I am glad that he
did. Good Boy has added a lot of joy to my life.
