This
is one of my favorite cats called Arthur. He joined us about ten years
ago being an extremely wild and frightened cat. He had probably been chased
off very often. It took my mother a few years before he accepted humans so
he could be stroked very carefully but at that time always looking frightened.
Now after many years he is still very afraid of strangers. He always runs
away even before the person is in sight, but I can always lift him and lay
him in my arms and he enjoys that very much by snoring and leaking
(dripping) water from his nose.
During summer he's always outside but in winter he comes inside during
colder nights. I have two doghouses in the backyard and a small garden
maisonette with a cat-door so if he or one of the other cats wants to go
inside they can do that. But cats can be stubborn ;) oh yes they can!
After he became familiar with the camera he didn't jump up and rush away
anymore at the sight of a camera (or especially the noise of a camera -
clicking sound) and as you can see he likes to be lazy, especially on a
sunny afternoon. But watch his ear... he is always listening for strange
noises. He is now King Arthur... he rules the world.
