Quincy
is the new joy in my life. I walked into a pet store that only took in
rescue animals and fell in love at first sight. He tolerates petting
intermittently but only really likes to be petted when he's sleepy. My new
little alarm clock, he head butts me at 5:20 every morning until i pet and
rub him. When i come home from work he takes three bites of dinner and
promptly runs over and squats down in front of his cat tunnel signaling that
he's ready for playtime. I love watching him grow and constantly test his own
limits. This week's challenge is jumping from the top of the couch directly
onto his cat tree. And woe to the person who dares to hold his favorite
fishpole feather and not move it properly, he will simply sit on it until you walk away.
This Thanksgiving holiday he took the biggest pleasure taking all his naps in
my mother's chair by the window where he could lie in the sun and saw all
manner of birds he doesn't usually get to see from our apartment windows. I
think my little Quincy Primrose "Muffin" had himself a ball.
