This
is Usuke! Usuke was born to a family friend's cat, Bella, along with his
four brothers and sisters. His birthday is September 3rd. We took him and
siblings in when they were five weeks old, as the family friend claimed she
could no longer care for them. In truth, she was neglecting them terribly.
The five babies acted like feral cats, and would hiss if approached. After
one night of our care, they all became loving sweethearts.When they turned
eleven weeks old, we found homes for two, and kept the remaining three,
including Usuke!
He enjoys belly rubs, sleeping on your shoulders, and most of all, fetching!
One night, Usuke decided that he wanted me to play with him, and so I tossed
a fuzzy ball for him, thinking he would chase it and continue to play like
his siblings. Instead, he returned the ball to me, and continued bring it
back for a full half hour. He now has taken to fetching anything, including
pipe cleaners. Usuke also loves to give gifts, especially to me and my
mother. He will climb into the closet, find either a plush toy, towel, piece
of paper, or cloth, and proudly bring it to us as a present.
Usuke is a truly unique little boy, who I love dearly, and cannot imagine not
having in my life.
