Dawson
is our resident Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He will be calm and
collected, happily purring on your lap when, all of a sudden, he will
jolt from his position, and be impishly swatting at you and ready to
play! He runs crazily from one end of the apartment to the other-for
what reason, no one can guess. He is a rescue cat, adopted shortly
after Christmas 2013, and is a happy addition to our family.
He is a very vocal animal, constantly meowing for food, attention, or
play time. His favorite toys are little stuffed mice and a small
rubber soccer ball. He can fetch both the mice and the ball, and is
learning to be a soccer goalie (unfortunately not in time for the FIFA
World Cup). We bounce his soccer ball against the wall and Dawson will
jump into the air to catch it in his paws.
Dawson dreams of climbing trees and can be found perched on his cat
tower, keeping an eye on birds and bugs through the window. If he
seems to be missing, he is probably sitting by the front door. He has
a newfound interest in that door; I bet he can hear those pesky birds
nearby and is salivating at the thought of a tasty snack.
He loves to hide and play in boxes. You never know when he might pounce out and surprise you!
