Gilligan
was a very young stray kitten when he adopted us. He is my first
baby. My daughter came along two years later and he is definitely the cat that
helped raise her. He is loving and devoted to my daughter like I have never
seen before. She can do things with him (and to him) that he would never let
anyone else get away with, like having him wear a Santa hat. Gilligan is one
of the sweetest cats I have ever been blessed with and he is still as playful
as he was when he was a kitten. He is as devoted to our family as we are to him.
Gilligan follows my daughter all over the house. Wherever she is, he is,
unless he is in his own bed which she made for him. He is not declawed and he
has never scratched her and he sits by her side, literally laying up against
her, while she does her homework or is on her phone/laptop. Their bond is
truly amazing. Whenever she gets her face close to his, he smells her hair
and gently nuzzles his head to hers. He won't do that with anyone else. We
love him so much. While he will always be my baby boy, they have a bond like
no other I have ever seen.
