I
have always wanted a sphynx cat and when I found this one the price was
unbelievable. The reason became quickly apparent when I went to get him
though for he was very ill. It turned out the owners simply did not want
to pay his bills or take care of him. I fell in love with his big eyes
right away though, and I scooped him up.
The drive home was long and the drive to the vet was even longer the next
day. He was coughing, sneezing, underweight, dirty, and he could barely
breathe so I was concerned he was too far gone. Although much was wrong
the vets worked with me budget his care. Over the course of an eight-month
regiment of antibiotics and nutrient rich food he turned from a timid and
skittish to warm and loving as his health steadily improved. Now he is an
energetic and loving centre of attention after over two years of living
with me. Imhotep and I have become buddies in an unexplainable way after
our struggles together. Although many people I know were skeptical of how
'cute' a sphynx cat could be, he has turned many unbelievers into lovers
with his beautiful bright eyes!
