When
I first met Amy, she was a tiny, tiny kitten whose mother had been run
over by a car about a week before and left her along with five other little
adorable creatures. Despite being minute, she was still the biggest among her
siblings and would get very protective over them whenever anyone tried to come near.
Initially, we thought she was male because of her behavior and size and,
having had a cat we loved very dearly disappear on us not too long before we
met Amy, we wanted two females - who are said to run away less often. We
brought all six kittens to this pet shop and had them see which ones were of
which gender and, upon realizing she was a female, we were sure we couldn't
leave her behind. She was so small, yet so fierce and I absolutely loved what
I so far knew of her personality. In the car, as we were travelling back
home, she wouldn't stop meowing and trying to escape her pink cage, so we
ended up letting her walk around a bit and she was climbing everything she
could dig her nails into.
As time went by and she grew up, she seemed not to like me too much, always
jumping out of my lap, but in these last couple of months, it looks like
she's grown to like me. Whenever I'm around she comes to me and looks very
pleased when I pet her head (and, honestly, her pleased face is one of the
cutest things I've ever seen). She still is fierce, a very good hunter, lean
to the point we worry she might not be eating properly (turns out she just
has the right body to go with her instincts), always attacking whatever is
moving in front of her eyes, jumping to incredible heights, running much
faster than me, risking her life and, thankfully, surviving, but she is
adorable, the most loving cat anyone could ever have, and I love her to bits.
