Agent Orange was a feral I rescued when he was about seven weeks old. I put him in my
small bathroom, but he was very shy. About two weeks later, I agreed to foster five kittens
from our local shelter, even though I was up front about how many cats I have and my
small house (plus two large dogs). They were desperate. Anyway, these tiny kittens were
very friendly, and they did a wonderful job socializing Agent Orange. He saw they
craved affection and food from me, and he got much friendlier.
At nearly a year old now, he's neutered and sweet as can be. He will still avoid me if I
walk to him or reach to him (as most of my ex-ferals do), but when I'm sitting, he's all
over me for affection. He's a cutie pie to be sure.
