Persia the Tabby Point Siamese
Name: Persia
Age: Nine years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Tabby Point Siamese
Home: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

My partner and I were adopted by Persia who was a stray. When we were unable to locate her owners and we checked her for a micro chip which she did not have, we decided to give her a home. My partner named her, and I think he just liked the sound of the name!

She is such an amazing cat. She is full of character and loves to run around and play. She has so much personality and is very chatty. She has many different meows that she uses to communicate to us exactly what she wants. My partner and I just adore her and we are so glad that she came and found us.

Persia is super affectionate and very much a lap cat. She has chosen me over my partner and sticks to me like glue. She always wants to be with me and tries to sleep on top of me every night. She loves attention and if she isn't getting enough of it for example, if I am on the laptop, she will tap me to let me know that she wants pats or wants to get into my lap. She loves the sun and every afternoon when my partner gets home, she meows and meows for him to put her in her sun room so she can enjoy the rays.

She has little quirks e.g. she will only drink from a glass and not a bowl. She also wakes my partner up seven days a week, no later than 4 a.m. for her breakfast.

She is very clever at opening doors. Sometimes when I am in the shower, she will push open the sliding door so she can come and see what I am up too. She also has a knack for opening the kitchen cupboards.

She loves to watch animal shows on tv and always gets up on our tv cabinet to try and touch the animals on tv. She also loves to watch "The Bee Movie" of all things!

I used to be a dog lover before she came along as I always thought cats were aloof and disinterested in people but Persia taught me that this is not the case with all cats. She has given me a huge appreciation for cats and to me she is more like a puppy as she loves to run around and play. She has a lot of energy for a nine-year-old cat and can be quite boisterous at times.
