This is Crista, she is Boss cat around here. A friend of mine found her in his yard one day. When he told me about her I had to see her for myself.
That's all it took, I knew she needed to come home. The vet said she was 6 or 7 months old. I decided that D-Day was about right for her birthday. It was around Thanksgiving - Christmas Holiday then, so I named her Crista. She was my Christmas cat. She was small and skinny. It didn't take long for her to grow into a healthy gorgeous adult cat.
Crista has such a big personality, she is very clever, nothing happens without her noticing. I've bought so many toys over the years. I want her to have things that challenge her. There have been times she looks at me like, "What were you thinking?" and plays with the packaging or the bag the toy came in. Anything I bring into the house is a cat toy to her. Grocery bags or boxes are a favorite of hers. When she was less than a year she would retrieve, I would throw Mardi Gras beads across the room, she drags and watches it as she brought it to me. One day I was playing with her with the beads, they ended up in what was a circle on the living room floor. She curled up in the middle of it and went to sleep. A true Mardi Gras queen! She is constantly doing new things. She has window shelves and beds, so plenty of choices on where to sleep or groom.
She has no hesitation in hopping up on me and giving me head butts and cheeky rubs. She likes to wake me by either touching my cheek with her paw or her whiskers. Once I'm up she wants me to hold her for a little while. We love her very much, the house wouldn't be the same without her.
