My mum and I got Zak a few years ago. One of my mum's friends adopted Zak and his sister when they where kittens, but at the same time she got a mastiff. She didn't let the kittens near the dog but she kept the two kittens in a dog cage in her room, the space was very cramped and they rarely got out.
Soon she decided to give the kittens up. Zak's sister found a home straight away but zak wasn't so lucky ... he went to three other homes before we got him, and seeing as he was still young it affected him quite badly. Whenever we would leave the house he would get scared and panic, as he though we where leaving him forever. Though we would never do that, he also started picking out his fur.
My mum and I got worried, so we took him to the vet and they said that he was a very nervous cat and the fur pulling was a result of that. It's been four years now and Zak has grown into a beautiful loving cat that lots of people love. He doesn't pick his fur anymore and is a lot less nervous. I'm just so happy we got him when we did, he's such a sweet heart.
