Spider was much too young to be adopted when he arrived, but, orphaned after a coyote attack, there was no choice. So tiny that he would sit on the palm of a hand, resting his forepaws on your fingers, he loved talking. And he still does to this day.
If sixteen is old for a cat, he doesn't know it. He juggles fur balls in the air, chases shadows across carpets, and wakes us every morning at six a.m. to alert us that another day has begun and that he's ready for his morning brushing. He sleeps and sits only between us, follows either my wife or me everywhere, and alerts us with a resounding meow when visitors approach our door. He's the best!
