Besides my cat's natural affection for cameras, Sugar is one of the sweetest of her race that you will meet. From the first day she ran to my father in the front yard to now (six years later), she has always loved people. That is why my father decided to keep her that day. He held her in the car as my mother drove us to the vet and Sugar out her small arms around my fathers neck and began to purr. He turned in his seat and said, “We're keeping this cat.”
We named her Sugar! We thought that would be appropriate because she is so sweet and Black = Molasses, Brown = Brown Sugar, White = Sugar!
She is even this way with people she doesn't know. You could be a complete stranger and walk into our home and immediately her trust will be placed in you and she will purr at you, walk between and rub on your legs, play with you, and even come into your room and sleep on top of you.
I have seen many cats. Many of them are shy, territorial, and sometimes mean, but not Sugar and cats like her. They are truly unique cats. Their kindness goes above and beyond the average for their species. I just love her so much. I don't know what I will do when she leaves this world, but it will be a very sad day…
