Storm the Domestic Longhair, the Cat of the Day
Name: Storm
Age: One year old
Gender: Male
Kind: Domestic Longhair
Home: Michigan, USA

This is Storm, he's a year and five months old, his breed is a domestic long hair. He's special because he was born and raised on my family farm. He never stops meowing, and we've never had a sweeter cat! He follows me everywhere, greets people walking up to the door, and even comes when I call! Storm's sister, Kyu, died young, and we were worried about his health, but he pulled through, and here he is!

Storm is an outdoor cat, he's not allowed inside at all, though he runs into the garage when he gets a chance. He comes running if you yell "Storm" out the back door, but is usually under your feet anyway, so you really don't have to call him. Storm loves belly rubs and will plop down right in front of you and wiggle around until you scratch his stomach. If you don't the first time, he'll run ahead of you and repeat the cycle until he gets what he wants. He loves to climb trees, chase anything you throw (or that crosses his path, like butterflies or leaves) and he enjoys following me, doing whatever I do. (If I climb up a tree, he does. If I catch a frog, he attempts to) He's a great hunter with anything that stays on land, like mice and moles. He's very friendly, and if you stop petting him for two seconds he meows very loudly as if to tell you "Hello! I'm right here!" He's also very kind to other kittens, he often washes them and lets them lay against his fur, unlike most of our cats.

He's the only surviving kitten in his litter, but he has two younger brothers born this year, String and Bean. He's one of only two long hair cats on our farm, the other one being much older than him. Storm is usually very gentle, but sometimes gets overexcited when you give him food. He sits on the porch all day, staring into the house, until he sees someone walk by, and when he does he meows for attention. He doesn't leave unless someone is outside with him.
