We rescued Charlie when he was a six-month-old kitten. We asked the shelter staff to introduce us to their favorite kitten, and it was love at first sight! As a kitten, Charlie was a little ball of energy. We would toss crumpled paper balls and he would line them up in a stunning display of feline geometry. He was also fascinated with the wall clock. He would stand on his hind legs to get a good look of the clock, before pouncing in an attempt to catch the second hand.
Today, Charlie has many different hobbies (he is definitely a Renaissance cat!). He enjoys bird-watching, box-sitting, batting his catnip mice around the house, and sprinting down the long hallway with surprising speed. Charlie enjoys playing many games with his humans, including tag, performing tricks (jumping through a hoop, "sit," high five, and spin), and jumping to high perches to retrieve kibble.
After someone arrives home, whether it's from work, school, grocery store, or really anytime someone leaves the house for ten minutes or more, Charlie runs to the door to greet us with head rubs, nose kisses, and of course, lots of purring!
