Glenda the Maine Coon mix
Name: Glenda
Age: Seven years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Maine Coon mix
Home: United States

This is Glenda, she is a Maine Coon mix. Due to her gray coloring and pale green eyes, I think she might be part Nebelung. We happily reside in the United States.

What makes Glenda special? Well there is a lot to be honest. Firstly, she is the best snuggle buddy. Burying my face into her fluffy coat at night is the best. She hops up as soon as I lay down, curling up in her spot. Sometimes when I'm upset, she leans me her shoulder to cry on. She also has a strange meow. I describe it as a whine like a baby because it is low for a cat. And when she is happy she makes a cute little purr noise like a chirp quick purr/chirp. Mostly she does it when she jumps up or I pet her.

Glenda is very photogenic and loves the spotlight. She also loves walking on a leash outside in our backyard. The fresh air and grass is good for her. Not to mention when she rolls in the dirt she brings nature inside the house with her. When it's hot, Glenda does funny poses on her back with her belly exposed. I rubbed her belly until she meow whines me away. Like most cats, Glenda likes catnip. Usually I toss her favorite fish toy into the bag to refresh the catnip scent and toss it to her. She does a front roll over the fish toy, then rubs and licks it. Sometimes she gets a bit high though, so she drools a lot. But don't touch her while she is on the nip, you might get the claw.

I give my kitty some treats most nights before bed. I have her give me her paw, lay down, and sit up for the treats. She really loves them. She is quiet as a mouse too, so when she hops up and makes that funny sound of her's, she scares the fur of my skin. Sometimes up the stairs. She follows me like my shadow and then she darts between my legs as I'm trying to walk up the stairs. I have tripped and been jump scared. But I love it.

Glenda is a very chill kitty cat. She lets me nom her ears, kiss her face, snuggle her tail, and pretty much play with her. She is very large though, so picking her up is a bit challenging. Unfortunately, Glenda is not a lap cat. Once in a blue moon she might sit on my lap, but my legs go numb. Like I said, a big cat. That's actually how Glenda and I met. I was sitting in the shelter and she walked on my lap. Then on, I fell in love with her. I kept the shelter name too: Glenda. I was going to change her name to Moonlight, but Glenda fit a lot better. Not Glinda the good witch from The Wizard of Oz, Gl"E"nda - the vowel difference. There are probably others qualities that makes Glenda special, yet I can't think off the top of my head. Hope you all have a purrfect day!!!
