Huey is one of the most special cats I've ever had the privilege to become a Cat Mom to. He is completely deaf yet the sweetest boy there is. He can't hear anything at all, however, he can pick up on vibrations, wind, smells, tastes and see pretty well. He loves playing with straws, showing me his belly, napping on me or his Cat Dad and birdwatching. Because of him, my anxiety levels have gone down a whole lot! He is a blessing!
My boyfriend Mike has owned him for a year now, after adopting him with his brother Louie in October 2016. He initially was just going adopt Louie, but the lady he adopted him from said that he can't be separated from his brother, thus Huey came home with him. Immediately after coming home, he fell asleep on Mike! Huey doesn't really know any tricks other than identifying a straw from a mile away! Once he finds one, he'll play with it for hours and hours! He's a very affectionate cat and if he shows you his belly, that is very rare!
Huey is my first cat that I officially became a cat mom to back in August 2017. My boyfriend told me that Huey never showed his belly or sat in anyone else's lap besides him. The first time I met Huey back in July, he immediately showed me his belly and afterwards sat on my lap and fell asleep. He's literally my shadow. He follows me all over the house, lets me pet him, and when I sleep over, he sleeps right next to me! He's my son with fur!
