Milby the Tuxedo Cat, the Cat of the Day
Name: Milby
Age: Seven years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Tuxedo Cat
Home: Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia

This is one of my two cats, Milby. The photo is entitled "Bin Cat" as he's perched upon our yellow recycle bin, a common spot to find him. He is a moggy cat, but the vet had labelled him a Tuxedo Cat because of his black and white coat. I'm not sure if that applies to every black and white cat but, to me, the fact he's been dubbed a Tuxedo cat is one of the many things that makes him special :) Milby lives with me in the Central Coast of NSW, Australia.

The other things that make him special are; He wakes me up every morning by either kissing my nose or biting it! He will sleep on me near my head, as close as possible but not on my face directly, and in any way he can, even if it's balancing on my shoulder when I'm on my side, which is a very small resting post compared to his large body. He is also very smart and cheeky. If he doesn't get his way, when he's in my room he will go to my small rock display and slowly bat each one of them off the desk they are on, and when that doesn't annoy me, he will jump on to everything tall and unstable and bring it crashing down until I chuck him outside. He's not a hell-raiser, he's just very confident of his own self and what he wants!

He is also especially special to me because I stole him from my step-brother who had him for a few days then lost all interest in owning him. One day he did not even bother to look for Milby when we thought he was missing. At the time he was very, very little and we were all very worried. I decided my step-brother was unfit to be a cat-parent and so I took charge of Milby that particular day and ever since then when I 'stole' him, he knew I was his mum and guardian.

He was named by my step-brother who, with his friends, used "Milby-Lad" as some kind of joke insult ... and so they named his new kitten Milby for fun. I will never understand what that insult means, but I know the name Milby suits him even if it comes from a very weird meaning. I've written a lot about my baby boy Milby, but that's because I love him very much xx.
