Jaks is our latest rescue kitty. We have five now! He is two years old. My son's girlfriend found a picture of him on the website of a local kill animal shelter near her home. That shelter sadly typically keeps cats just for two weeks and his days were numbered. He caught her eye because he looks exactly like our orange and white cat, Colby, who is another interesting guy. Hence the name Jaks - Colby/Jaks. Now we just wish they would get along as well as their names match.
When we visited him he was so friendly, but his hair was coming out in handfuls from stress. He was already neutered, so apparently someone abandoned him. He has the most delightful personality and I cannot fathom how anyone could let this guy go. He became ours for $10!! Now he is learning how to longboard, becoming an avid birdwatcher and thinks he may want to be a snowman. His possibilities are endless at our home!
