Cupcake is special because she is totally a happy-go-lucky cat. She wakes us up at six a.m. on the dot to be fed every morning. If we try to sleep through her meowing, she will proceed to lick our elbows. When that doesn't work, she will sit on our chests. When she wants attention, nothing will stop her. From meowing to just jumping on us, she gets the attention. She also loves to stare out the window looking at birds and will find the spot on the floor where sunlight is coming in and fall asleep there.
She is our first tuxedo cat. We have a second cat which was our first and figured we would get him some company. Cupcake was a rescue cat we got from a local pet supplies store. With her coloring, the name Cupcake just fit too perfectly.
We got her specifically because our other cat was a longhair and sheds a lot. Cupcake being a short hair, leaves a lot less hair on furniture and clothes.
Her personality is that she is a complete goofball. She is very chatty. She will talk and talk and talk until you give up. She doesn't like being held but loves to rub against you. In the mornings, like clockwork, she will meow at exactly 6 am so she can get her morning meal. If you don't get up, she will keep meowing, then she will lick your elbows, then when all else fails, she climbs on top of you and lays down until you get up.
She does like to climb. She loves looking out the window. Always looks for sunshine beaming through the windows onto the floor. She will pass out there. She loves playing fetch. Her toys of choice are hair ties and twist ties folded to form a ring. She will play fetch all the time with those.
