Wolfie was named after Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart by friends who were finally able to entice him into their home him after seeing him in their yard for a couple of months. We found out later he was only five months old at the time. They suspected that neighbors had put him out when they moved; apparently he had been fending for himself that whole time.
Perhaps because of his dubious beginnings, Wolfie is a dichotomy: an absolute sweetheart one hour, and a hissing crab-apple the next. He acts tough but is actually pretty anxiety-ridden, acts like he doesn't want love but in fact craves it. Wolfie has a heart murmur and his own kitty cardiologist. He gets bored easily, so likes adventures; one of his favorites is running up and down the steps in our building and hanging out on other floors (we live in a high-rise in the city). Wolfie adores his papa and loves his mama only because she has longer nails than his papa. When we introduced him to Mr. Squirt Bottle, he stopped picking on our younger cat so much. Imagine that.
He's a troubled child but we do love our beautiful, green-eyed Wolfie.
