Say hello to Jolt! I believe he is a tabby, Abyssinian mix, he has traits of both - striped legs, and ticked back hair. I adopted him this past September from the Center for Animal Health and Welfare and so happy that I did. He's an absolute doll and so much fun. I love him.
Jolt is very nosy, trying to get into cabinets and exploring closets. His favorite toy is a 'flying mouse' ... toy mouse on a wand that I make 'fly'. He loves being brushed - but don't touch his belly, even when he rolls over and appears to want a belly- rub. Belly and legs are off limits.... head, back and chin pets are always welcome. He snuggles next to me to watch TV, or sleep, but will not sit on my lap and does not liked to be picked up, which is fine. I respect his boundaries.
There were several cats at the shelter that I considered, but something about Jolt told me he was the right cat for me. After getting to know each other it was definitely the right decision. I really hope the other shelter cats find good homes, particularly the senior cats. They all deserve a fur-ever home.
