This is Cassiopeia, also known as Cassie-kun or Cassie-critter. What made her special were so many many things. One of the things I'll miss most is how she would come out from wherever she was napping, when I'd sing. She'd meow, purr, hold her chin high, and perch on my shoulder. It was lke she was trying to sing along with me.
She wasn't my first, but I knew her longer than any other cat I've known. I used to visit of friend of mine monthly, and one day she just walked up to us looking for attention. Then the next month she came back and sat right in my lap, that's when I decided to bring her home. Turned out she was pregnant, but so malnourished only one kitten lived. She was friendly to all, but it was clear she considered herself to be my cat. She passed just recently, and the pain is still fresh. I'm going to miss her so much.
