Nala is a very special kitten. She was born on St. Patrick's Day! A gift from St. Patrick. I had lost my dear cat Elsa, after having her for 20 years and was grieving terribly over her. At the suggestion of my family, I pursued in getting a new kitten to help ease the pain of my loss. I was very lucky to find Nala on Craigslist. I drove to Merrillville to get her. Her previous owner had to get rid of her because her landlord told her she had too many pets.
I got Nala for free since I had just lost my cat and they need I would give her a good home. I could tell that her previous owners took very good care of her, because she had all of her shots and was spayed. Sadly she was also already declawed, but seems okay.
Nala has beautiful markings that are unique of any other cat I have seen. I call her my little bandit and little clown, because her nose markings look like someone took a paint brush and painted a beautiful dark color around her nose on one side. And, her left eye has a black tear streak that looks like it was painted on her eye which is unique. It looks like makeup. Since I brought Nala home, she has become the most playful loving cat that I have ever had. If I am not feeling well, Nala will get up in my face and put her nose on mine to make sure that I am OK. She also will jump up on my leg to get my attention if I am ignoring her. One day I had my back turned away from my chair when all of a sudden I felt a paw on my shoulder. I turned around to look and it was Nala trying to get me to pay attention to her.
Nala likes to be up high. She gets on top of the refrigerator and the China cabinet. She has to be everywhere that I am and she sleeps by me as well. I hope to have as many years with Nala as I did with my last cat.
