This is Veronica, also known as Mittens. She and her brother and sister were found on a hay truck when they were only a few days old, after inadvertantly taking a cross-state drive away from their mother, who had likely tucked them into the hay bales thinking they were safe!
Veronica is very "vocal" as we call it, which just means she whines a lot. She is very soft, hence the nickname, Mittens. And of course her front paws look like she is wearing white mittens, too. Or, as a tuxedo cat, perhaps they are elegant white gloves, but her nickname is Mittens regardless. When company arrives she runs up to the door to try and sneak through the doorway. When I hold her she lays her paws and head on my shoulder and purrs. She is a treasure, we love her very much.
