Here's a picture of the ghost kitty, Casper, showing his face. He's a lot cuter than this, but was not happy that I woke him to get a look at his mug! I will let him take over now.
Boo, everybody! My name is Casper but most of the time everyone just refers to me as "The Ghost Kitty" because I live on an acreage in Iowa where, sometimes, there are as many as 25 of us and we don't always get real names. What we DO get is plenty of room to hunt mousies and also some good care.
For fun, I like to look cute and act like I want to be petted and held and then run really fast when somebody tries to do that. Maybe, just maybe, someday I will allow it. It's also a lot of fun to take a nap near my big white dog, Charlie, or share some porch space with the older "house dog," Star.
On the day this second picture was taken, I just decided I needed my own space and a break from the rest of the crowd; this cottonwood tree looked like a good choice. Our "indoor mom" spotted me from the kitchen window and couldn't resist going for the camera. Can you blame her? I slept here for about two hours and after a good stretch, it was back to the mouse-hunt. It's my job!
