This is our cat Shrimp, yes, named for the food. He is also called is Shrimp-O (no, not because he is little, but because I had a son who returned from eating out one day to find this little stray and name him after what he ate that day. Don't ask where the -O was derived from). He is about 5 years old and a mix with some grey tabby .. not sure what else. He adopted us about five years ago as a kitten when it was cold and rainy outside and he was crying under a car. After two days I couldn't take it any more and I invited him in for some food and affection. He came running to his rescue at our house. He never left and quickly became a member of the family.
Affection is this cat's middle name, he loves everyone. He also carries the names laid-back, trouble, and adorable. This photo was not arranged by us - he crawled under the Santa hat that was laying on the couch and we thought this was a great picture. Doesn;t he look cozy?
He is friendly, sweet, comical and I think at times thinks he's a human. He is incredibly laid back and often you will find him laying on his back dead to the world. What makes him unique? Well, how about the fact that he LOVES to be vacuumed! Comes running when he hears it turn on and will roll around for hours if you let him while you vacuum him. It's hard to get any cleaning done cause when you stop he will just keep chasing it and lay down in your path. We love this cat and so does everyone who ever meets him.
