We rescued Cluck from an animal shelter when he was one year old. Since then he's been the sweetest cat that ever lived. He doesn't engage in any of the normal teritorial disputes that cats get into, truth be known he's a big 'fraidy cat. The only time he hunts is when little mice are stealing bits of dry food from his feeding area. He's not really fat he's just big boned. It seemed to happen one weekend when we were away. We left out plenty of water and a Purina self feeder. When we returned three pounds of dry food were gone and the cat looked bigger! I thought maybe I'm feeding him too much, so I checked the cat food bag for feeding suggestions, apparently he qualifies as a medium-sized dog.
He spends most of the day sleeping on the couch but I take him for walks in the back yard to roll around in the catnip patch (picture). We have tried to put him on a diet, but his weight never changes, so we just have to love him the way he is. And we do.
