This our new cat Ziggy. Ziggy is one and a half years old, and she is a tabby with white and red fur. She lives with us and our Snoopy (female cat) in Lochristi in Belgium. She is such a beautyful cat!! The shelter where she was, told us that she was living with an elderly woman (83) She was held in a small room, together with a male cat Both were not steralised, so one day she got kittens....; the human killed the poor kittens, said that she didn't want Ziggy any longer, because she was a "very bad cat."..!
That woman never took care of the cats; she brought food and water, but that's it! She never spent any time with her cats. So they were not socialized at all. They even didn't have names. From now on, she is't allowed to keep anymore pets! GOOD!
The first three to four days, she was very much scared of us and of the house, so she was hiding from us! Then she started looking around the room where she was, and later on also the living room/kitchen! She tried to say Hi and then play with Snoopy, but Snoopy doesn't want to be friends at all… . She is mad at us because we welcomed a new cat to our family….
She has changed a lot since that first day! She loves to run like a crazy cat around the living room and the kitchen, and she loves very much to play with her fake mice, with pieces of paper, etc…. She also likes to play with fishing rods with a toy attached. But she still is a very scared cat…. She doesn't trust us to come closer then 1 meter to her. If we do that anyway, she runs away as fast as she can… . So she scared like hell to be touched….. . We hope she will trust our hands and let us pet her one day…!
She is so beautiful, I already love her so so much!
