Senior Dante Alighieri is a 23-year-old male. Senior Dante loves to walk into the shower while you are using it, he laps up the water coming off of the shower head, until he realizes he is getting soaked, he then yells and bails out of the shower!
Being 23 human years of age he is hard of hearing and sleeps most of the day. Senior Dante still has a playful and mischievous attitude when awake. Dante was sitting on my bed with his legs tucked in in this picture.
We live in the mountains near Santa Fe, NM, I originally found him at a shelter in the UP of Michigan nearly 20 years ago.
When he could hear, he would come when whistled at.
Dante was very independent and still shows those traits, though he has become a "love sponge" since he has aged.
Senior Dante will still hunt mice, IF he is awake when one commits suicide by running in front of him. When he was younger he would go for a swim in the lake; that along with his penchant to play in the shower, definitely makes him unusual!
