Binkie
is our miracle kitty. After dinner one night we pulled over
at a deserted gas station because our daughter felt sick. My husband
said "Oh, there's a kitten, and she's hurt." I caught her, and I
picked her up by the nape of her neck and she immediately started to
purr. My husband held her in his lap all the way home, saying, "What
are we going to do with this cat?"
Upon inspection of her, we discovered her right hind leg had been
bitten and was infected. She was also starving. We fed her a large
bowl of cat food and she furiously ate it all. The next morning, my
hubby took her to the vet and told them the story. They treated her
and gave her a shot and sent her home and she's been with us ever
since.
She is still very shy and timid. It is obvious that she was
traumatized by her experience alone, hurt and hungry. She has the
sweetest purr meow (trill) and those big beautiful eyes melt our
hearts every time she looks at us.
