Spaz
is seven years old and still as playful as a kitten. His name
fits him well. He had a hard beginning. He was the pet of eight girls
in college. He lived in the dorm with them and the football team
lived down the hall. They would come and play with him. He learned
very early to defend himself. He came to live with us when our
daughter graduated and moved out of state.
He has mellowed some but he still likes to intimidate people. He also
entertains us. He likes to walk over the answering machine and check
for messages. He has turned the television on when we weren't home by
walking on the remote control. He was probable bored and didn't find
any messages on the answering machine that day.
He has a fondness for rearranging flowers, real or artificial. He
used to eat the roses that were sent to the girls in college. He can
be very sweet when he comes and curls up in my lap. He loves to be
close to people. He will follow us from room to room to be close. He
certainly adds something special to our home.
