Whiskers
is special because he likes to sit in my lap when I'm having
coffee in the mornings at the kitchen table and put his front paws on
the table. He also likes to watch the deer eat after I feed them off
the back porch.
Whiskers is special to me because even though he's not as
affectionate as I hoped but he still has his moments. First of all we
got him at the Humane Society, and that was the only kitten that
would stick his paw through the cage as if telling me to take him, he
really seemed like he wanted a home. I throw his little foam ball
with metallic fringes on it and Whiskers chases it and brings it back
to me to throw again, just like a dog. When I get up in the morning
I'll sit at the kitchen table and he'll jump up on my lap and lay his
front paws on the table when I'm reading or something as if he is
reading too. But he just wants attention.
When I take a bath Whiskers pushes the door open and lays on the
hamper beside the tub. When I go out the back door he'll meow for me
and as soon as I open the door to go back in, he'll jump up into my
arms so he can see what's going on outside. He doesn't want to miss
anything. He sleeps on the bed with us by my feet. We almost lost him
due to an urinary tract problem but he's better now, I just have to
give him special food. My husband and I don't know what we'd do
without him.
