Please
meet the newest little member of our family, Spot. He is what
my vet calls a "foundling." Our dog, Buster, found him in a corner of
our back yard and wouldn't leave him alone until we noticed he was up
to something. I gave the cat some food and water but didn't bring him
in the house because I didn't have a litter box. That evening the cat
sniffed out and found where that good-samaritan dog lived and cried at
our back door all night. Needless to say, the next morning I went out
and bought everything needed for a cat, polished up my best begging
and pleading face for my husband - and let him in. Spot barely
weighed three pounds when Buster found him. He was dehydrated and
starving, didn't play or have much of a reaction to anything. After
all the necessary veterinary procedures, a good bath and several
wolfed-down meals, Spot settled in to his new home. Now, after a
month, he's downright plump, happy, playful and he worships our dog as
his greatest hero for having found him.
