This
is Simon, my daughter's cat. Simon is part Siamese, so the people we
got him from told us. I'm not sure. He was a year old
Memorial Day weekend. He has been such a delight to our family. My
daughter lost her two favorite cats within two weeks of each other. The
minute we come home each day Simon is waiting at the kitchen door. He
always has to meow at us when we say his name. He eats Cheerios with me
every morning for breakfast, he gets on the stool next to me and hits my
arm when he is ready for another bite. He is also mine and my daughter's
alarm clock: every morning he runs across our chests until we get up.
He wakes me up every morning for his special kitty treat at 6 am.
He is a very special cat to our family. We have never had a cat that
was so family-oriented. He loves to be where we are at all times. He
plays hide in seek with my daughter. As you can see, he was not particularly
happy to pose for this picture. It was for a special cat calendar I made for
my friend for Christmas.
