Gray
is a mischievous boy who came to our front door one day last
year. He adopted us! He loves to wrestle and pounce on his four
brothers and sisters--his sisters do not appreciate this, though!
He follows me around like a puppy and loves to "help" me type on the
computer. His back feet are white and look like sneakers--helps him
to run faster, I guess!! We are crazy about this cat!
A little more about Gray-boy... my vet thinks he wasn't quite one
year old when he found us, because he still had a "kittenish" face.
He showed up on our doorstep one day and when I opened the front door
and went out, he rubbed up against me, wanting some loving. I knew I
was in trouble then! I am a major cat-fan, but we already had five
kitties and I knew my husband would probably say "No more kitties."
So I decided he could be our outdoor kitty and made him a little bed
out of a box and blanket. He lived on our front porch for about three
weeks, and then one day, he wasn't there. He didn't show up for three
days and my husband and I were so worried and sad that he was gone.
But when he came back, we decided then and there to keep him inside
with the rest of our kitty babies.
Gray is a purr-machine. He likes nothing better than to come wake us
up first thing in the morning by purring and giving headbutts on
whatever part of us is not under the covers, and then gives soft
"love-nips" to help us out of bed. Gray likes to perch on things like
he's sitting on the recliner - one leg stretched down. He must
figure this posture shows him off to best advantage! He chases
anything that moves (loves to terrorize and chase his five-pound Siamese
sister) and loves to hunt crickets. At night, all six of our kitties
wait in the hall by our attic pull-down for a cricket to drop out -
one comes down every night - don't know what that's all about!! Gray
loves everybody and everything - almost like a dog in cat's clothing!
But he is super-special and we love him.
