This
is my kitten, Gabby, a six-month-old British shorthair from
Wales, UK. She's special for all the reasons every kitten is special,
but particularly because of the way she has overcome her awful start
in life. Abandoned in the street with severe facial injuries at
around eight weeks old, she lost her right eye and endured a lot of
painful veterinary treatment, but this hasn't stopped her from
blossoming into the most intelligent, inquisitive and affectionate
kitten I have ever known. I think she deserves to be Pet of the Day
for her sheer strength of character, which has kept her loving and
trusting people even after so much pain and fear. She's an amazing
little cat, as I hope you'll agree!
