This
is Shakespeare! He is a very special little guy! He was born
close to Quebec but has lived in Orleans, Ontario since he was eight
weeks old. He is very loving and gets along well with all other
animals (we also have a seven-year-old Maine coon and two-year-old
Golden Retriever). He loves to be picked up and carried around or
just curl up on your lap. He often tries to snuggle with Boots and
can be found curled up with the dog!
Like all Siamese, (I have had four during my life, all lived to at
least 17), Shakespeare is a creature of habit and likes everything to
be routine. They are very affectionate (with people and other
animals), love the heat (will sleep on a heat rad) and talk up a
storm. He is a bit of a sneak and I have found him in strange places,
twice in the refrigerator! He loves to give kisses and anyone who
picks him up is guaranteed to get a big "sand paper" kiss
on the end of their nose! When Shakespeare was really tiny he loved
to sleep in my husband's sheepskin slippers!
He has his favorite toys and one of them is a toy on a rope attached
to a short stick. He will run circles and jump several feet into the
air (many times he has collided with things like chairs and people
when he gets really wound up). Every time we come home, or the door
bell goes, he runs to the door. Actually all the animals do and it
can be quite a chore to get someone in past this gang! I am a very
big lover of all animals but must admit my most favorite are cats and
Siamese are the ultimate!
