Oliver
lives up the name "gentle giant" that is given to
Maine Coon Cats. He is very laid back and loves our dog, Charlie.
Oliver weighs nearly twenty pounds and still has a lot of growing to
do. Maine Coon Cats grow until approximately three years old. By the
way, he is already taller than Charlie, who is a schnauzer/scotty
mix. He also loves to play "fetch the ball" with my
husband.
Hi, my name is Oliver and I live in a house with a brother Charlie
who is a dog and a sister Tootsie, a kitten. We all get along so
good. My Mom says it's because I am such a big cuddly kitty and that
I'm just like a big floppy stuffed toy. Sometimes I play with a laser
light just to amuse my mom and dad. I used to play fetch too, but now
my little sister Tootsie chases the ball and gets in my way, so I
just lay down and watch her do all the running. Maybe some day I'll
start playing again when Tootsie gets older. My parents didn't know
anything about Maine Coon Cats when they got me, but now they think I
am the most beautiful cat in the world and, of course, they're right.
They like to brag about my size. I weigh almost twenty pounds. My
grandma says living with me is like living with a panther! I'm really
content and gentle though. As long as my Mom gives me my tuna
treat in the morning, I am happy. If she forgets, I jump up on
the refrigerator door and pester her until she remembers.
