This
is Proey. He was named after the greek mythology hero,
Prometheus, who created the humans and also gave them fire. Proey was
given to me three years ago for six months when the guy who had him
since he was a kitten couldn't take care of him. After only two days,
I started plotting how to keep him with me for good. Luckily, the
original owner agreed to let me keep him. In the course of the last
three years, we've moved from Cincinnati, OH, to New York, NY, and
later to Israel. He had to get shots before we left New York and I
had his health certificate (saying that he was in good health.) He's
lived in more places than most people have.
Proey is a talking cat; we have long conversations and he has a
special answer or comment to everything we say. He's a very relaxed
and friendly cat. He loves to be petted. My boyfriend, Tush, loves
combing Proey's long grey and white hair (but hates the hair that
"decorates" our apartment.) I love feeding Proey in the
morning, when he can barely wait to eat and steps on my feet on the
way to the food bowl. Later he sits next to me when I have my
breakfast and just watches me. He spends his days watching the birds
that come to the balcony and the evenings sleeping in his chair (that
you can see in this picture.)
When he wants to be alone (or when he gets upset with us) he jumps
from our third floor balcony to the top of the air conditioner of our
second floor neighbors. Proey is a blessing and both Tush and I love
him very much.
