This
is Kissyfurr, my 2 1/2-year-old shaded silver persian. We live
in Calhoun, Georgia, and this is one of Kissy's favorite spots in the
house--the bathroom sink. He also likes to lounge on the feather
pillows on the bed and naps on top of the clothes hamper. I just have
to remember to always shut the hamper after I open it. A couple of
times, I left it open, and, well, you can imagine the scenario.
Kissyfurr absolutely despises having his hair brushed--let alone
getting a bath!--so now he has to go to the vet for that. There's a
big guy at the vet's who is better at convincing Kissy that he needs
to be groomed than I am! But as you can see, he is gorgeous, and
well worth the extra trouble.
Persians are very lazy animals, and Kissy is king of lazy. He loves
to sleep in the bathroom sink and the bathtub, and when I go to bed,
I sleep on my side. He gets up on my hip, and that's his bed for the
night. It must be a funny sight to see considering I also have a
10-year-old toy poodle that sleeps right on the pillow beside me, and
another persian, Peppy, who sleeps at my feet!
