This is Fang the Wonder Cat as painted by her "mummy" Joan
Pain, a wildlife artist from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This portrait
was painted as a wedding present for the artist's daughter when she
was married in 1995. Fang was rescued from an animal shelter. She had
been living wild and was at the point of starvation when she was
adopted. The name Fang was intended to intimidate the next door
neighbors two Rotweillers who looked at the poor little cat like an
